The Boston Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets 118-104 on April 1, 2024, at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 25 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 21 points and Marcus Smart with 16 points. Gordon Hayward added 12 points and Robert Williams III had 10 rebounds.

Terry Rozier led the Hornets with 23 points, followed by LaMelo Ball with 19 points and Miles Bridges with 17 points. Nick Richards added 10 rebounds.

The Hornets had snapped a six-game home losing streak with a win over the Chicago Bulls on March 31, but the Celtics put an end to that streak with a strong performance on Friday night.

The Celtics led by just six points at halftime, but they pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Hornets 33-21. The Hornets closed the gap in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics held on for the victory.
